Abstract
Currently, there is observed an increase of the polar vortex as well as an increase in the temperature gradient. This paper considers the influence of the stratosphere circulation on the troposphere. It has been found that an enhancement of cooling in the polar stratosphere brings about changes in the tropospheric processes, and this means a positive annular mode response in the troposphere.
